The students study the structure of the real and
complex number systems, develop the concept of systems
of equations in two and three variables, determinants,
polynomial equations and functions, rational expressions,
sequences and series, probability/statistics, exponential
equations, logarithms, and trigonometry. A strong
background in Honors Algebra I and Honors Geometry
will be required from the beginning of the course, and
students will be expected to understand the concepts
taught in class, as well as to transfer them to novel
applications and problem solving situations.
